DayPilot
Terms of Service
Last updated: October 3, 2026
These terms govern your use of the DayPilot website at daypilot.app and the DayPilot apps (together, "DayPilot"). By creating an account you agree to them. If you use DayPilot on behalf of a workspace, you agree on its behalf as well.
Your account
You need an account to use DayPilot. Keep your sign-in details to yourself and tell us if you think someone else is using them. You must be at least 13 years old. You are responsible for what is done with your account and for the content you store in it.
Plans and payment
- Free is the planner for one person, at no cost and with no time limit. It includes one work schedule and 100 MB of attachments.
- Pro is a paid subscription for one person that adds calendar sync, the email-to-task inbox with AI drafting, notifications, templates, unlimited schedules and 5 GB of attachments.
- Team (up to 5 people) and Team Plus (up to 10 people) are paid subscriptions for a whole workspace: everything in Pro for every member, plus sharing, groups and assignment. Each is a flat price for the workspace, whoever pays for it; people waiting on an invitation count toward the limit. Larger teams can arrange an Organization plan through support.
- If a workspace moves to a smaller plan, nothing is deleted and nobody is removed. Features the new plan does not include stop, and no one new can join until the workspace fits the plan.
- Subscriptions bought on the website are charged by Stripe and renew automatically each month or year until cancelled. Subscriptions bought in the iOS app are charged by Apple through your Apple ID and are governed by Apple's terms; cancel them from your Apple ID subscription settings.
- Prices are shown before tax. Applicable sales tax or VAT is added at checkout based on your billing address.
- We may change prices for a renewal with at least 30 days' notice by email. Continuing past the renewal date means you accept the new price.
Cancellation and refunds
- Cancel at any time from Settings → Plan & Billing → Manage billing (website purchases) or your Apple ID subscriptions (app purchases). The paid features stay on until the end of the period you have paid for; nothing is charged after that.
- Website purchases: if you are unhappy within 14 days of your first payment, email [email protected] and we will refund it in full. Renewals are refundable within 7 days of the charge when the paid features were not used in that period. Refunds beyond that are at our discretion, and we will not be unreasonable.
- App Store purchases: Apple handles refunds under its own policy; request one at reportaproblem.apple.com.
- If a payment fails, the paid features remain for a short grace period while you update your card. After that your workspace returns to the Free plan: calendar syncing stops and DayPilot no longer writes to your calendar, but nothing you created is deleted, and the connection resumes when payment succeeds.
Your content
Everything you put into DayPilot stays yours. You give DayPilot only the permission it needs to store, display, schedule and sync it for you and for the people you share it with. Do not store content that is unlawful or that you have no right to use. The privacy policy explains what is stored and who can see it.
Acceptable use
Do not try to break into, overload or reverse-engineer the service, send unsolicited mail through the task inbox, or use DayPilot to harm others. We may suspend accounts that do.
Availability and changes
DayPilot is an independent, self-hosted service and is provided as is. We aim for continuous availability and take nightly backups, but we do not promise that the service will be uninterrupted or error-free, and features may change. If we ever discontinue a paid feature you have paid for, we will refund the unused part of your subscription.
Liability
To the extent the law allows, DayPilot's total liability to you for any claim is limited to the amount you paid in the twelve months before the claim arose. DayPilot is not liable for indirect losses such as missed appointments or lost data, so keep your own copies of anything important.
Ending the agreement
You can delete your account at any time from Preferences → Account (website) or Settings → Account (app). We may close accounts that break these terms. Sections about content, liability and refunds survive closure to the extent they still apply.
Changes to these terms
If these terms change in a way that matters, the date above will change and we will mention it on the website and, for paid plans, by email.
